Our history
1993
In a galaxy long ago, before GARMENTEC, there was Style Workwear. In 1993 Damian Dugdale established Style Workwear, supplying unique uniforms to local businesses in northern England. Growth came quick thanks to a small but highly motivated team delivering great customer service along with high quality customised uniforms.
1998
KIT Design was born. Responding to a demand for advanced technical clothing specifically within the UK Police force, KIT Design worked in partnership with the MET Police to develop a range of high performance work uniforms. This pursuit of ultimate function and performance would shape KIT Design's operational endeavors forever.
2000
Following the successful delivery of custom made Police cycling uniforms to Forces across Great Britain, KIT Design diversified into other areas of technical workwear. Applying the same deep R&D and high manufacturing quality led to the invention of the now legendary X-Form equipment vest - the ultimate range of work vests.
Our story
2014
In March KIT Design made the short hop over the county line from Chesterfield to combine forces at Style Workwear's head office in Sheffield. With a new joint Board of Directors, Style Workwear and KIT Design came together under the same roof.
2017
Style Workwear re-branded to STYLE UNIFORMS, and at this time we also created a parent company called GARMENTEC.
From which time GARMENTEC governed our overall operations, making it simpler for our clients to deal with one Accounts Team.
2021
As of October, Style Uniforms and KIT Design began to operate under one unified name - as parent group GARMENTEC.
So now we offer the same great service and innovative workwear solutions that covers standard uniforms and technical workwear to our customers.
